We're Gonna Make It
Well it finally happened. ChaosKid got a job today. And a high paying one at that. We were feeling really discouraged these last few weeks due to the fact that the two job interviews he went to looked really promising but nothing happened with them. Now we know why. The Lord knew this job was coming along and that this is what he needed. Hopefully, things will go smoothly, he won't cause any waves (not that he tries to cause waves), and this will be a job like BTP was.
BTP was pretty much handed to us. He found out about the job, interviewed and got the job. This was pretty much the same way. He Googled job search websites, found a local place that was hiring, sent them an email inquiring about the position and got a call back the next day, he was set up for an interview yesterday, and got a call back today.
The starting pay is excellent and he goes up for review after 90 days. Which also allows for a possible raise. If this works out we'll actually be able to support ourselves and pay off some debt. Which means getting a place. (We're thinking about renting the place next door to Mom's. The buying of the new house isn't out of the picture, but it may be a while yet and we all know we can't keep it together all the time. So if we're next door Mom and I will still have our space and be able to take care of the kids easily.
On another note I'm about to cause some waves at work. I'm going to talk to our Human Resources (HR) guy about me working on Sundays. It states in my contract that I have Sundays off and I'm going to enforce it. This will cause waves because we only have four garden cashiers, one who never has worked Sundays, one who just now started enforcing her contract of no Sundays, another who can only work for five hours a day, max, and me. So if 3 out 4 cashiers aren't there on Sunday, they're screwed. The best part is that I really don't care. (I'm not trying to be disrespectful or anything, but there have been some issues lately which I will go into on my blog, just not tonight.)

There is nothing like having your own place. As much as you like your in-laws it's nice to have your husband as the head of the house. Even nicer is right next door. Close enough for the kids and Gramma to be back and forth. Every day.
I hope you can work out the Sunday thing. I always was able to get them off and was very thankful for it. Now our Sundays are the busiest, most tiring days of the week! And not because of secular work either. Wouldn't have it any other way.
Good luck! But please be careful about blogging and work. Its gotten some of my friends in trouble and I would hate to see that happen here.
Happy B-day Aunt Soup! I hope you're feeling better!
